I just received the following email which was worth sharing due to its encouraging content. Keep up the good work teachers. You never know when you are instructing a student who will grow up to pay it forward.

Dear Learning Link Coordinator,

I am a former Lodi public (Washington and Lodi High) and private (St. Peters) school graduate and I am now a teacher in New Jersey. It might be of some interest to some of my former teachers and classmates of some recent endeavors my students have embarked on. I teach in a largely Hispanic first generation school and we have had some success over the past couple of years. The message I hope this brings is that anyone can compete if given the chance and direction. Something I always have thought that my own education in Lodi provided.

Please see some of the success I have had with my students in middle school in a low income area of Urban New Jersey.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
