It’s the last week of school and if you’re like me, you might realize it’s time to get rolling with teacher gifts. Obviously, there is not time to head to the Mud Mill but here are some last minute gift ideas that are easy for you and useful for them.

------------------------------------

Gift Cards (no brainer, but had to include it because it is a great choice) Safeway has a ton of choices. You can even get Norstrom gift cards there.

Make a “white board” for their home. Just buy a cute 8x10 frame and place a piece of plain white paper in it. (If time permits, you can get cute scrapbooking paper that has a subtle design) Include a pack of small Expo markers. Have your child write a nice message on it. You can find great frames at Marshalls and Ross.

Homemade cookies. If you don’t have time to bake yourself, SKIP this idea.

Caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Cupcakes from Frosted Four

A monetary class donation (teachers buy so many supplies with their own money). You can also use the donorschoose.org website which allows you to stipulate where your money goes.

A gift certificate for a manicure, pedicure or massage

I can’t leave out wine. Add a little bag of chocolate and tie it to the neck of the bottle.

Flowers or plants (Can add a little tag saying, “Thanks for helping me grow!”)

A poem/letter of appreciation from the student

Quality bath/spa like items (the kind that can’t be purchased from the grocery store with the exception of Burt’s Bees)

Buy an apothecary jar and fill it with candy. Tie a bow on the top and add a clever tag, like “Thanks for being so sweet this year”.

There are lots of quick solutions for buying a last minute gift. Just don’t buy them another coffee mug!
