I just had one of those sobering moments that reminded me you can't trust everyone, even those you might assume you could. I'm not going to go in to the gruesome details, but I just want to encourage you all to be cautious of situations that you put yourself into.

Here are some reminders that each of us need to consistently do:

• Never leave a drink unattended

• Check Megan's Law website at regular intervals

• Don't make friends with strangers online

• Travel in 2's

• Have a "better safe than sorry" attitude

Always leave enough room between you and the car in front of you in case you need to go around to get away from a carjacking etc. You never know and goes to what was said better to be safe than sorry
