As a self proclaimed nerd, I find Youtube videos to be a highly effective means of communication. Especially videos on channels managed by a professional young adult novelist and his science geek/musician brother. The Vlogbrothers, John and Hank Green, have been piquing the interest of teenagers and adults since they began making videos in 2007. Today's installment was an open letter by John encouraging students to think about the legitimate joy of public education. Sounds hokey, I know, but when message is delivered with John's enthusiasm, it can be hard to ignore. Take a look.
