Today I wrote a story about planned improvements for C Street and Lincoln Way in Galt.

Here's a copy of the plans for you to peruse. What do you think? What do you think should be the landmark feature in Old Town? An arch? Some form of a statue? A decorative rock?

For more examples of signs used as city gateways, check out Graphic Solutions down in Southern California. I've quoted Simon Andrews several times because he does directional signs for cities that guide drivers to different hot spots.

Today I'm working on a story about railroad tie replacement near Lodi Lake. Anything else going on that I should know about?
