Just got back from the fireworks lottery.

About 20 people from non-profits gathered in Carnegie Forum to see if they would have the opportunity to sell fireworks around the Fourth of July this year. http://www.lodinews.com/news/article_64225bb9-fa8b-507e-b2e6-417c020d3962.html" target="_blank">The city had six spots, and 47 non-profits applied.

Everyone quietly watched 10-year-old volunteer Kaitlin Newport pick numbered ping pong balls out of a bingo hopper.

Here are the results:

21. Lodi/Tokay Rotary Club

12. Share Homes Family Services

31. Pregnancy Resource Center

11. Lodi Mexican American Lions Club

33. Lodi Sunrise Rotary

36. LOEL Center and Gardens
