Here's some more pictures from the story that ran in Thursday's paper:

A gray fox somehow passed over or under a security fence and scaled a 10 foot substation before stepping on a high voltage transformer circuit. The fox’s unfortunate demise on December 23 knocked out power to several industrial customers.

Barry Fisher, who is the construction and maintenance superintendent for Lodi Electric Utility, said his workers were surprised to find the animal on top of the fenced-in substation.

The animal stepped on the 12,000 volt circuit at 6:49 a.m., and it took about 40 minutes to remove it, Fisher said. That amount of electricity also runs through powerlines around Lodi. The substation is located on Lodi Avenue in the industrial area.
