Today I wrote a story about the http://www.lodinews.com/news/article_c43d92dd-ae5d-5dcf-8971-69cdb733144f.html" target="_blank">holiday light tours starting tonight, and how it provides a fairly cheap way to start a new tradition.

Driving around and looking at lights was always something I did every year growing up.

On New Years Eve, I used to spend the night with my aunt and my grandma, and we would have special "drinks" made from about five different juices, perfecting the recipe over the years. My aunt and I would drive around for hours looking at lights, and I'd have my pen and paper ready to rank them. I would come home and sit with my grandma telling her about each display and why I ranked them as I did. That is one of my fondest holiday memories.

We are hopefully making it easier this year for you to take your family out to scope out the best light display with our http://www.lodinews.com/maps/lights/" target="_blank">holiday light map.

To make this work, we also need you to send us your favorite holiday decorations from around town. You can submit the location and photos https://lodinews-dot-com.bloxcms.com/site/forms/other/holiday_lights/" target="_blank">using our online form. Enter the address, intersection and city, and any comments, and we will add all of the information to our map.

What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?
