Galt council meeting is cancelled
Posted on
September 21, 2010
UPDATE: The Galt City Council meeting is canceled because two of
the councilmembers are sick.
The city was supposed to discuss the Central Galt Interchange project. The city
plans to reschedule the item to a special meeting next week. Below
is the info.
The Galt City Council will discuss and possibly approve the
construction contract for the $43.5 million project. That figure
could go down by $7 million if the city awards the contract to
Teichert Construction Inc.
The original estimates for the construction contract was $28.1
mllion. Teichert submitted a bid of $20.9 million.
The city plans to have a groundbreaking ceremony at 4 p.m. Oct.
5 at A Street and Camellia Way. The public is welcome, and there
will be a hotdog barbecue.
