What are your Top 10 stories for 2011?
Posted on
December 20, 2011
Every year, we select our Top 10 stories, and it can often be a
difficult task. There are the straight new stories: grade-changing
questions with Lodi Unified School District, the Mokelumne River
being closed because of flooding, a look at a public-private
partnership with the Lodi water treatment plant and California
redistricting.
But what about some of our other stories that are more
feature-based? We wrote an incredibly detailed profile of one of
our carriers and St. Anne's piano player, Jeff Kooyman. I took a
look at public access along the river. The entire newsroom rejoiced
when the Taco Truck Cookoff was announced.
So what are some of the stories that touched your life this
year? Send me your top 10 (or your top two or three) either as
comments or as an e-mail, maggiec@lodinews.com.

Hi Maggie,
I think the surface water treatment plant is worthy of a spot in your top ten.
It would be great to all the work done and all costs associated with this project---
Planning and design
raw hook up
MIlls ave dig
removing all the oaks and clearing the site.
construction of the plant
debt service on the bond
cost of the water
and
the benefit to rate payers
