Residents in the city of Lodi will be able to buy and set off fireworks this Fourth of July. Forty-seven nonprofits have applied for the right to sell them to you.

The city has 6 spots, so that means quite a few groups will be disappointed. The city will do a random lottery drawing at 6 p.m. Thursday in Carnegie Forum to decide who will get to sell.
