Dr. Bob Bader, a man of warmth and wit, and a regular columnist for us for several years, is moving East.
Bob is a chiropractor and a long-time Lodian. He's also a naturally gifted photographer and writer, and he's written dozens of columns for us, many dealing with his boyhood in Lodi.
Bob has handed his patients over to the capable hands of Dr. Doug Gerard, another local talent who has written food columns for us in the past.
The good doctor Bader, now 83, is heading to the Pittsburgh area to live with his daughter Kathleen and her family. (Must be something about Pittsburgh. That's where another of our columnists, Joe Guzzardi, moved a few years back.)
Bob and I have become friends through the years and have shared many lunches together. He's an ageless wonder, a man of great spirit and humor.
He's promised to write a few dispatches from Pittsburgh for us.
Very best of luck on your next set of adventures, Bobby.
