Shazam! Something for Nothing

I drive my daughter every week to Stockton so that she can have extra help in math from a college student that charges a reasonable fee. It took me a while to find her. At the beginning of my search, I was referred to some local professional tutors that cost upwards of $50 an hour. For that amount of money, I imagine that a credentialed math teacher would take the job!

I tell you this because I have great news for parents and students on the prowl for extra academic support. Since I didn’t know this and work a stone’s throw away from them, I’m thinking that many of you are also unaware. The Lodi Public Library offers free homework help for children in grades K-8^th in English, math, social studies and science. They are available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
