Grinchy fabulosity
Thanks to this odd tree-adorning ornament, my Christmas spirit was lifted.

Grinchy fabulosity
Sometimes the strange and off-kilter
is right around every corner. Sometimes the Christmas spirit hits
us when we least expect it. Sometimes they're one and the same.
'Round these parts, people get
particularly festive during this time of year. Decorations appear
throughout our offices, beautiful baked treats appear in our mouths
and almost everyone has a lifted mood (probably sugar
euphoria).
Julie Govette, the head of our
creative crew that constructs the paper and its contents each day,
will line her lush cubicle with piney garland and erect a small
Christmas tree.
But it's no angel atop that tree.
No, sir. No, ma'am. It's a Grinch.
And it's no ordinary Grinch. This
Grinch is smiling. It could be his snazzy blue Santa hat. It could
be his multi-colored boa. It could be that he's relieved to be out
of the box of decorations.
No matter what the reasons, this
Grinch — in all his fabulosity — put a smile on my face the minute
I saw him. Like the character in the Seuss classic:
“And what happened then? Well, in
Whoville they say that the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes
that day.”

The Grinch is one of the best Christmas miracles! He couldn't fend off Christmas, in the end, joy overtook him.
I love it when that happens!
