Jerry O'Rourke
Nurse
Jerry L. O'Rourke, 71, formerly of Lodi, died Nov. 11. She was born July 28, 1938, in Oklahoma.
Mrs. O'Rourke cared for foster children along with her own. She worked at Lodi Memorial Hospital as the head nurse in the maternity ward. She was also an EMT for the Coloma Fire Department, and she worked at the race track. She volunteered at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for the food bank program. She was part of the Star program. She enjoyed volunteering and helping those in need, working in her yard, camping, swimming, the race track, knitting, quilting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Avis Jewel O'Rourke, of California, and Debra White, of Wyoming; son, Glenn E. O'Rourke, of California; six grandchildren and many great-greatchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned other than a small family gathering.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Program, hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
