Chavez at Lodi
When: Tonight, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Grape Bowl.
Records: Lodi (3-5, 2-1 SJAA); Chavez (2-6, 2-1 SJAA)
Last season: Chavez won 28-14 last year.
Last week: Lodi lost to Lincoln 34-14; Chavez beat Franklin 32-27.
Key matchups: Lodi's offensive and defensive lines vs. Chavez's lines. On offense, the Flames need to make their blocks to allow the running game to take off. On defense, Lodi has to get pressure on Chavez's QB Niles Villalobos who averages 164 yards passing each game.
Notes: Led by RB Jordan Perkins (129.8 yards per game), Lodi is averaging 227.6 yards rushing per game compared to Chavez's 100. ...Perkins was held to 19 yards last week against Lincoln, while the Flames managed only 87 total on the ground. ...Both Chavez and Lodi are averaging close to 21 points per game this season. ... Both teams have both league wins against Franklin and Bear Creek. The Titans' average margin of victory over the two is 14.5 while the Flames' is 35 points. ...Lodi halfback/linebacker Joey Armstrong's knee injury that has sidelined him the last few weeks will keep him out the rest of the year.
Tokay at St. Mary's

Last meeting: St. Mary's defeated Tokay 56-0 last year at the Grape Bowl.
Last week: Tokay lost to Edison 20-7; St. Mary's beat McNair 66-0.
Key matchup: Tokay's defense vs. St. Mary's quarterback Marcus McDade. McDade is averaging 200 yards a game and has over 1,600 on the season. With talented wide receivers like Joshua Harper and Louie Lechich (who have both caught eight TDs this season), the Tigers have to be stingy in the secondary and pressure McDade.
Notes: St. Mary's is ranked No. 1 in the Sac-Joaquin Section in MaxPreps, followed by No. 4 in the state and No. 24 in the country. ...The Rams are averaging 445.5 yards of total offense each game (237 rushing, 208.5 passing) as well as 54 points per game. ...The Tigers are averaging 258 yards per game, led by Patrick McCarthy's 103.4. ...Tokay QB Seth Siddle-Mitchell leads the team in yards per game with 134.6 (combined passing and rushing). Tiger lineman Aric Ybarra broke his hand last week and will be out for the rest of the year.
Oak Ridge at Galt

Key matchups: Galt's defense vs. Oak Ridge's offense. The Trojans are averaging 366 yards per game and the Warriors have to make stops to keep Oak Ridge from running away with it. Galt running back Jerren Crisologo vs. Oak Ridge's defense. The senior backup RB needs a big game with starter Haran Piggee out for the rest of the season.

Last week: Elliot lost to Millennium 41-8; Stone Ridge Christian beat Sierra Ridge/Rite of Passage 20-18.
Key matchups: Elliot's passing game vs. Stone Ridge's defense. Sophomore John Johnson will have two new targets with seniors Robby Freed (tight end) and Nathan Fickert (wide receiver) returning from injuries for the Eagles. Turnovers. The two teams combined for 10 turnovers when they played each other earlier this season when the Knights won 14-8.
