Search for shooting suspect continues
Authorities are still searching for Anthony Hubbard, wanted in connection with Saturday's shooting death of Galt resident Adam Campa.
Hubbard, also of Galt, is suspected of gunning down the 28-year-old man on East Jahant Road in Acampo, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.
Galt police also suspect Hubbard, 22, of trying to steal money from acquaintances earlier Saturday. Witnesses told police they feared Hubbard had a weapon, though they never saw one, Lt. Ken Erickson said Tuesday.
And Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies are also searching for Hubbard in connection with a shooting at a Galt party, less than two hours after the homicide.
A deputy was called to a loud party on Kost Road early Sunday morning, and someone fired shots, possibly at the deputy, said Sgt. Tim Curran. Nobody was injured and no vehicles or buildings were struck, he said, and investigators do not know if the deputy was actually a target.
