Deputies name suspect in fatal Acampo shooting

Investigators today released the name of a man they suspect in an Acampo weekend homicide.

Anthony Adell Hubbard, 22, is being sought and should be considered armed and dangerous, San Joaquin County Sheriff's officials said in a news release.

Hubbard is sought in connection with the shooting of Adam Mariano Campa, 28, who died at the scene of the late Saturday incident.

Deputies were called around 11:30 p.m. Saturday to the 5800 block of East Jahant Road, where the victim was found on the side of the road.

Deputies have not released a motive and the investigation continues. They asked anyone with information on Hubbard's whereabouts to avoid him and instead contact the nearest law enforcement agency.
