Roundup of Lodi-area Halloween events

As a guide for the ghosts, ghouls, and spirits who make their appearance on Halloween, we have listed the following events and activities where your haunting presence is requested:

Pasos Winery: 7 p.m. Friday at 12470 Locke Road, Suite 268, Lockeford. For more information, call 727-3153.

Haunted House Food Drive: 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 212 Lavender Court, Galt. Participants are asked to bring a called food item to help the local food bank.

Pump It Up Halloween Run/Walk 5K/10K races: 9 a.m. Saturday at Lodi Lake. Cost is $35 per person. Participants 10 and under compete for free. For more information, visit www.active.com.

Micke Grove Zoo's Howl-O-Ween event: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Micke Grove Zoo. Cost is $2 for adults and free for children in costume. There is also a $5 parking fee per vehicle. For more information, visit www.mgzoo.com.

Downtown Trick-Or-Treat and Fall Festival: Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday in Downtown Lodi. Merchants in Downtown Lodi invite the community to trick-or-treat at their establishment. For more information, call 369-8052.

Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade and Costume Contest: 1 p.m. Saturday along School Street in Downtown Lodi. Proceeds benefit Animal Friends Connection Humane Society. Participants must be registered by noon Saturday.

Vine and Branches Food Drive: Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at 110 W. Oak St., Lodi. Costume photos are free to those who bring in a canned food item ($5 without). Proceeds benefit the Emergency Food Bank of San Joaquin.

Fitness Systems Lodi Halloween Festival: 3 to 7 p.m. at 512 N. Cherokee Lane, Lodi. The event is free. For more information, call 366-2800.

Harvest Festival at Gateway Church: 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at 13555 E. Hammond St., Lockeford. The event is free.

Trunk or Treat: 4 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1540 W. Lodi Ave., Lodi. For more information, call the church at 334-2130.

Trunk or Treat: 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Ham Lane Church of Christ, 600 S. Ham Lane, Lodi.

Night Out for the Kids: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Crossroads/Heartland Better Together Church, 2223 W. Kettleman Lane. This event is free. For more information, call Carol Elliott at 368-7170.

Masquerade Ball At Wine and Roses: 7 p.m. at 2505 W. Turner Road, Lodi. Cost is $60 per person. For more information, call 371-6117.

Halloween at cellardoor: 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at 21 N. School St., Lodi. The band Night Shift will be performing. All bottle sales will be 15 percent off and a contest for most creative contest will be held. First prize for the contest is two tickets to First Sip. For more information, call 339-4394.

Halloween at Ollie's: 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday at 22 N. School St., Lodi. A costume contest will be held with assorted prizes being given away.

Halloween Bash at Garry's: Friday at 13. South School St., Lodi. Sign-in is from 9 to 11 p.m. Winners must be present between 11:30 p.m. and midnight to win prizes. Best Halloween costume will win a $100 bar tab. Second place earns a $50 tab and third place wins a $25 bar tab. For women, the prize for "sexiest" costume will be $100 in cash.

Costume party at Feed and Fuel: Normal restuarant hours until 10 p.m. at 27 W. Elm St., Lodi. After 10 p.m. it's bar only. Costume contest starts at midnight. Top three prizes get gift certificates to Feed and Fuel.

Party at Stogie's: Saturday night starting at 9 p.m. at 230 W. Pine St., Lodi. Stogie's gift certificates will be awarded for best costume and best couple.

Two-night celebration at Stooges: Friday and Saturday night starting at 9 p.m. at 105 W. Pine St., Lodi. Costume contest and drink specials. Both the upstairs and downstairs bars will be open. Gift certificates will be awarded for best costumes and a live D.J. will be there.
