Navy Petty Officer Shawn Fausett
Navy Petty Officer 3rd class Shawn R. Fausett recently completed Naval Nuclear Power Training Pipeline. During the course with the Nuclear Power Training Unit in Ballston Spa, N.Y., Fausett received instruction about nuclear theory, chemistry, physics, reactor operations, safety and security. Upon completion of the course, he qualified as a naval nuclear operator.
Fausett is a 2005 graduate of Tokay High School. He is the son of Susan K. Scott, of Lodi, and Richard M. Fausett, of Lodi.
Navy Seaman Apprentice Kelly Tannehill
Navy Seaman Apprentice Kelly A. Tannehill recently completed U.S. Navy basic training and was meritoriously promoted to her current rank at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
During the eight-week program, Tannehill completed a variety of training exercises, which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness.
The capstone event of boot camp is “Battle Stations.” This exercise gives recruits the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the fleet.
Tannehill is a 2009 graduate of Lodi High School. She is the daughter of Lorraine C. Tannehill, of Lodi, and Robert L. Tannehill, of Jerone, Idaho.
