Cody Vincelet had four goals and Derek Leale and Nick Parisis each had two for the Tigers (6-5, 4-2 Tri-City Athletic League) in Monday's victory.

Kevin Yeats, Tyler Grupe, Kyle Iturraran, Danny Kemether and Cole Mahoney each scored once.

Brandon Fansher had six saves in the net.

Ashlyn Daniels scored four times and Lauren Plunkett had three goals to lead the Flames (18-7, 5-2 SJAA).

Brie Day, Amy Daneke and Molly Bria each had two goals and Taylor Gums, Ava Dornbush, Paige Budiselich, Amy Jacoy, Brooke Iturraran and Hannah Ricci each had one.

Gums, Jacoy and Jillian Rohrbach split time in the net and combined for six saves.

Mitch Thomas had five goals and three steals for the Flames (5-0 SJAA).

Connor Silva had three steals and two assists, Mikee Whiteside had two steals and two assists and Kevin den Hartog and Jack Morris each had one steal.

Holly Melo and Emily Cervantes each had two goals for the Flames.

Nicole Haley, Karliegh Boss, Tori Detloff, Allison Shatz, Marissa Bentencourt, Brianna VanDiemen and Gianna Zazzarino each scored once for the Flames and goalie Jadin Kidson-Trigg had six saves.

Nicole Buzo had 23 kills, three blocks, two aces and 15 digs and Arianna Brusa added 24 assists and four digs for the Tigers (10-11, 3-5 TCAL) in the 25-16, 25-19, 23-25, 25-11 loss to the visiting Rams.

Tori Nunez had six kills, two blocks and 15 digs, Enrica Bosco had three blocks and three digs, Sarah Boron-Trotter recorded four aces and 20 digs and Brooke Malcolm added nine digs.

Page Kininmonth had three aces, five kills, two blocks and eight digs for the Tigers in the 25-17, 25-20 loss.

Kim Wong won in a third-set tiebreak 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) over Sopha Lam to help the Tigers win a thriller over the visiting Eagles in TCAL action.

The Tigers won five of six singles matches.

Tokay's Niki Polcerova defeated Hahn Dao-Tran 6-1, 6-0, Mandy Majidian beat Maryann Tran 6-1, 6-1, Alexa Abdallah held off Naj Washington 62-, 7-6 (8-6) and Andrea Ikeda beat Nina Chandy 7-6, 7-5. McNair's Susana Cruz topped Emma Brink 6-4, 7-4.

The Eagles swept doubles play. Guers Caldreron and Pharia Le beat Sydney Correa and Janelle Wu 6-3, 6-1, and Phannary Veasna and Kelly Sao defeated Morgan Hayles and Alyese Caraballo 6-1, 6-0. McNair also had a forfeit victory.

The Flames swept the Yellowjackets on the road.

In singles play, Anna Adams beat Amy Komure 6-0, 6-0, Audrey Simon defeated Julie Nguyen 6-0, 6-0, and Taylor Barajas knocked off Karina Sanchez 6-1, 6-2.

In doubles action, Jacque Lord and Emily Bingham defeated Roxana Torres and Jazmine Gonzales 6-0, 6-2 and Kendall Patterson and Leoni Lach beat Emily Yang and Mary David 6-2, 6-1.

Galt 8, Cordova 1

The Warriors (7-3 Sierra Valley Conference) took five of six matches in singles and swept all three doubles matches in the win over visiting Cordova.

In singles, Galt's Christina Phillips beat Michelle Lee 6-1, 6-1, Jana Hackett topped Irina Gulchenko 6-4, 6-4, Sarah Houghtaling knocked off Brenda Yang in three sets, and Ashley Rose defeated Christina Tsyberman.

Cordova's Kailey Chan rallied past Devin Smith 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

In doubles, Alyssa Greenhaw and Olivia Seifert beat Nancy Yang and Karen Chen 6-1, 6-2, Courtney Wright and Corinne Madison defeated Geraldine Francisco and Annaka Reader 6-1, 6-1, and Allison Barsetti and Dani Wise knocked off Kaetyng Chen and Karol Chacon 6-2, 6-1.

Pitta secures spot in 2010


Galt's Juan Pitta was one of 10 race car drivers named to the NASCAR's 2010 Drive for Diversity program after earning a spot during a two-day tryout that wrapped up Tuesday in Radford, Va.

Thirty drivers competed for the 10 spots. For Pitta, who had 12 top-five finishes in the Late Model Division at All-American Speedway this season, 2010 will be his third season with the Drive for Diversity program.

Four drivers from the 2010 class will eventually earn rides in the Camping World East Series, while the other six will be placed with Whelen All-American teams.
