Super sophomore Marissa Hinchman lifts Lodi Flames to golf title
Accomplishment: Despite the rain and unfavorable conditions in Monday's San Joaquin Athletic Association girls golf tournament, Lodi High sophomore Marissa Hinchman was able to play through it and record an 82 to win the individual title at Swenson Park Golf Course in Stockton.
The 15-year-old helped the Flames win the overall SJAA team title for the second straight season. With the win, Hinchman and the Flames advance to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I South tournament on Monday at Merced Country Club.
Hinchman said her short game was off and things weren't helped by the rain on Monday, but she was able to play smart to earn the victory.
