Blockbuster on Ham Lane to close Nov. 15
After nine years renting movies, videogames and selling snacks to enjoy them, the Blockbuster on Ham Lane is shutting its doors. The store employs six people who will be transfered to other locations, Blockbuster spokesman Randy Hargrove said.
The store stopped rentals on Oct. 11.
"There will be plenty of times for customers to return their movies," Hargrove said.
The store will close its doors for good Nov. 15. It is liquidating its inventory and offering sales to clear the shelves in the meantime.
The 4,000 square foot store housed roughly 5,000 titles of movies and videogames. The 7,000 square foot Blockbuster on Kettleman Lane will remain in business. It has been open since March 1993.
