" Dogs, considering the editor of Rolling Stone, Jann Wenner, is gay, I doubt he'd print a meritless expose' regarding a disease killing huge numbers (at the time) of his community. If you can find the article archived, it was quite well researched. Rolling Stone takes their editorial policy seriously. William Greider is one of the best political writers ever in any publication. He's also related to the LNSs' recently retired Gary Greider. Also a superb newspaper guy. "

" Cogito, while I hope you don`t get H1N1 Flu, it`s always good to cover all your bases. From what I read it all depends on your age, young people are the most at risk. Since I am in the not at risk category, I`ll be the last one to get it, but make no mistake I will get one, with that thinking God wants me to get one. You read something in the Rolling Stone, isn`t that something like Enquirer, and we always believe what we read in that rag. "

" Ken, I'm not afraid of a "conspiracy", I'm afraid of incompetence. Rolling Stone magazine printed an article during the early years of the AIDS epidemic showing strong evidence the virus was introduced into humans through vaccinations. Improper screening of the viral growth medium harvested from green monkeys allowed it's introduction into polio vaccines. The WHO still has samples of the particular vaccines used, and refuses to allow samples to be screened for the HIV virus. Their reason being that nothing good could come of it. I haven't had the flu in 20 years. I'll take my chances with the immune system God gave me. "

" Cogito I'm as suspicious as they come when it comes to government conspiracies. When it comes to the flu shots I get them, because in the long run it saves me from getting sick. Now, the H1N1 vaccine I'm a tad scared to try since its new... "

" CLA, it takes 2 to 4 weeks for a vaccine to become effective. Ask your doctor. So far you've just been lucky, or already immune for some other reason. But not a recent vaccination. "

" Cogito, I don`t trust the government either... I think that some people get the flu and some don`t. This could be a deep dicusion, because it to go anywhere. I got the shot and I slept with her for 4 nights now and hugged her and I am just fine. Anyways, I glad your okay who ever you are. "

Cogito wrote on Oct 14, 2009 3:02 PM:

" CLA, excuse me for not trusting an incopetent government to inject a virus into my body. I never get flu shots, and I never get the flu. "

" Everyone should be careful and be clean and get a flu shot. My teanager got sick the 10th of Oct. and is still sick. Took her to the hospital Monday night @ 2:30 in the morning. Her heart beats very fast, chills with high fever, couldn`t stand up, body hurt all over and she would should shake. Cough & sore thoat. Got sick both ends. Nothing that I would want. She is out of school till next week. 30% of the kids are out of school. Take care to all. "

" :P The Forklift driver's answer was priceless "

" Some of these answers make about as much sence as those not to bright people on Leno`s Jaywalking. The best one is from that Lodi student, as long as I am not sick I won`t worry. I don`t think the fork lift driver knows who`s buryed in Grants tomb, or where the Great Wall of China is located. The carpenter, with that answer, you wouldn`t be building my house. I`m in the not at risk age, however I will get one as soon as they become available. Advise you Homer`s to do the same. "
