Burton Nicol
Auto mechanic
Burton Richard Nicol Sr., 81, of Lodi, died Oct. 12. He was born in Seattle on May 4, 1928.
Mr. Nicol was raised in Alaska, where he loved to hunt, fish and spend time in the outdoors. He served in the U.S. Air Force and Merchant Marines. Mr. Nicol worked as an auto mechanic for over 20 years. His life was centered around his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Nicol, of Palm Desert, Burton Nicol Jr., of Lodi, Joseph Nicol, of Lodi, and Eric Nicol, of Rio Vista; daughters, Lisa Forsythe, of Grass Valley, Dara Nicol, of Tulare, Riqui Cook, of Grass Valley, Danielle Tanner, of Elk Grove, and Damaris Lopez, of Lodi; brother, Phil Macaset, of Seattle; 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Nicol; and brothers, Albert Bolima and Max Nicol.
There will be no visitation. Committal will be private.
Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
