Lodi Police are investigating a series of credit card thefts at Lodi schools over the last week.

On Sept. 23, two elementary school teachers reportedly had their credit cards stolen from their purses after-hours. Both Vinewood and Lois E. Borchardt schools were holding parent-teacher conferences that week, according to Sgt. Fernando Martinez.

Police were contacted after the teachers' financial institutions called them to report large purchases at Target stores in Lodi and Lathrop, Martinez said.

Surveillance video at both stores captured the suspects, and police are searching for them.

Two days later, another credit card was stolen from a teacher's purse at Lodi High School during regular school hours. Police do not know if that incident is connected to the other two.

There are apparently at least two other teacher victims, but police are trying to confirm their identities, Martinez said.

Between $1,600 and $2,000 was charged among the three thefts, according to police.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call Lodi Police at 333-6728.

" They don't appear to match the physical description of any of my neighbors.

The video photo speaks volumes. They look like they are both stylin' with designer shades that look like swap meet knock-offs.

The gentleman looks like he is starved ---and his not so charming accomplice needs to join Jenny Craig for a crash program in weight control. "
