Galt, Tokay look to stay unbeaten in football

Last week (11-0) was pretty early in the season to predict the outcome of every game correctly. Usually, I am still figuring out who the better teams are since I have not seen them play in person. But by Week 3, it's easier to spot some trends developing, both new and old.

Biggest game for the local preps this week should be the Tokay at Weston Ranch matchup.

Galt at Valley
With two wins over Division I programs already this season, the Warriors have confidence, an outstanding defense and big play-makers going into its game against Valley.
Galt, 28-7

Tokay at Weston Ranch
Despite defensive breakdowns against a very good Brookside Christian team last week, the Tigers showed they still have a good running game. Count on head coach Louis Franklin to shore up his defense against the team he once coached.
Tokay, 24-21

Stagg at Lodi
The struggling, winless Flames run into another buzzsaw in a revived Stagg football program that is 2-0 this season. Lodi has to find a way to unleash the talents of premier running back Jordan Perkins or the Flames will find themselves in an 0-3 hole.
Stagg, 27-14

Foresthill at Elliot Christian
With injuries to key players again depleting the depth-challenged Elliot Christian squad, playing a less-than-stellar Foresthill team might be good medicine. This one is a toss-up.
Foresthill, 14-7
