Thank you to all who helped with the Evan Hamilton fundraising dinner
We would like to say thank you to the Lodi Salvation Army for hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Evan Hamilton.
Evan is a Galt middle school student who is recovering from brain tumor surgery, for a non-cancerous tumor, that has left him with paralysis of the nerves in the brain stem. He celebrated his 13th birthday on Aug. 20 at UC Davis Medical Center, where he was admitted almost four months ago and still remains.
The generosity and kindness of those who bought tickets for the dinner, and those who donated into the fund is much appreciated.
"Thank you" goes out to all the workers behind the scenes working in the kitchen, setting tables and cooking — so many helped, I cannot name them all.
Thank you also to Lt. Dan Williams and Lt. Kim Williams for all their work on the dinner and for keeping in touch with Evan.
Thank you also to: Larry Martin of Tony's Fine Food Distributors, for donating items for the dinner; Wal-Mart, for the gift card; Woodbridge Golf and Country Club; and many thanks to everyone whose names are not mentioned. Their kindness is not lost.
Please remember Evan and his family in prayer. Anyone wishing to send Evan a card may do so by mailing it to UC Davis Children's Hospital, 2315 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817-2282. For those wishing to make a donation, they may do so by sending the donation to the Evan Hamilton Fund, c/o Big Valley Church, P.O. Box 2061, Lodi, CA 95241.
Those wishing to keep up with Evan's progress and to sign his guest book may do so by visiting www.caringbridge.org/visit/evanhamilton.
