Lodi 2, Stagg 1
Despite falling behind 1-0 in the opening minute of Thursday's non-league contest, the Flames rallied back for a win with a Hobie Day goal in the game's 72nd minute. The game-winning goal was assisted by Lucas Travis, in just the latest strike from Lodi's talented freshmen duo.
"We came out flat and got down, but I was really proud of the way they responded," Lodi head coach Tim Stutz said.
Travis tied the game midway through the first half with an assist from Daniel Ochoa, who Stutz credited for played a great game. He also praised the Flame backline for its solid play on defense. Goalie Jorge Diaz made four saves in the win for Lodi (3-0-2).

Maggie MacFarlane shot a 46 to lead the Tigers (3-0) at Lockeford Springs. Kasey Ota and Katie Woznick each carded a 50, Karissa Kiriu shot a 58, Emily Scroggins posted a 69 and Jenna Kanegawa shot a 73.
Galt 226, Ponderosa 302
Riley Sexton turned in a 1-under 35 to lead the Warriors to a Sierra Valley Conference victory on Thursday at Forest Lake Golf Course. Demaree Sexton followed with a 44 for Galt (2-2 SVC), Brittany Hamrick shot a 45, Amber Garcia hit a 52, Willie Douglas carded a 50 and Alex Hohn shot a 53.

With Marissa Hinchman leading the way and carding a 2-over 39 on Thursday at Woodbridge Country Club's Lake Course, the Flames rolled to 2-0 in San Joaquin Athletic Association play. Lodi's Coby Kooyman shot a round of 45, Sarah Boles hit a 46, Danielle Aldrich posted a 52 and Courtney Schmidt turned in a 55 for the Flames (4-2 overall).

In singles, Ashley Turpin defeated Ashley Haymore 6-0, 6-0, Katie Marshall beat Cassie Gomes 6-0, 6-0, Natalie Dreyer knocked off Lauren Moore 6-0, 6-1, Emily Bonsignore defeated Jennah Schraeder 6-0, 6-0, Kate Costa beat Danielle Sanders 6-0, 6-1 and Molly Hofcraft bested Alli Rasmussen 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, Haley Havelock and Clara Johnson beat Lindsey Villa and Faith Lamire-Baeten 6-0, 6-0, Madison McRonald and Cecilia Crotti beat Tabitha Daniel and Courtney Buss 6-0, 6-1 and Alex Schrick and Erin Kennedy defeated Monica Fregoso and Azeret Gutierrez 6-0, 6-0.

The Warriors swept their doubles matches and won five out of six singles matches against Union Mine in Sierra Valley Conference play in Galt on Thursday.
In singles action, Galt's Christina Phillips defeated Bethany Massey 7-5, 6-1 in the No. 1 match, Jana Hackett downed Ellie Klumb 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 2 spot and Alexis Silva topped Lori Knudson 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 3 match. In the No. 5 match, Courtney Wright bested Jessica Harris 6-2, 6-4 and Corrine Madison beat Ali Learner 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 6 spot for Galt's other two singles wins. Union Mine's Machaela Melrose defeated Galt's Devin Smith 6-4, 7-7 (7-4).
In doubles play, the Warrior duo of Allison Barsetti and Dani Wise out-played Gabby Aveni and Dylan Jacoy, winning the No. 1 doubles match 6-1, 6-3. At the No. 2 spot, Alyssa Greenhaw and Dani Smith posted a Galt victory, topping Laura Hammond and Jessi McPeters 6-1, 6-2. Galt's Alyssa Hurst and Ashley Rose teamed up for another Warrior win in the No. 3 showdown, besting Liz Bailey and Hannah Edminster 6-2, 6-0.

The Flames defeated the rival Tigers in preseason action on Wednesday at Tokay.
In singles, Tokay's Niki Polcerova defeated Anna Adams 6-0, 6-0 and Mandy Majidian outlasted Audrey Simon 7-5, 1-6, 10-4 for Tokay's only wins.
Lodi's Taylor Barajas won 6-1, 6-1, Leonie Lach won 6-1, 6-4, Emily Bingham beat Andrea Ikeda 6-2, 6-3 and Kendall Patterson knocked off Emily Brink 7-5, 6-0.
The Flames swept doubles. Taylor Lee and Jacque Lord beat Camille Santander and Janelle Wu 6-2, 6-0, Abigail Smith and Ashley Wonnel beat Calie Crothers and Morgan Hayes 6-1, 6-1, and Stephanie Sandoval and Mikayla Kidd won 6-2,6-2.

Lodi defeats Tracy
The Flame boys and girls squads both defeated Tracy on Thursday at Lodi Lake, opening up the San Joaquin Athletic Association portion of their schedules with victories.
Brenley Noori led the Lady Flame attack, winning the girls race with a time of 20 minutes, 51 seconds. Her teammate Cassidy Daley followed in second (21:00) and Katie Westerterp finished in third (21:06) as Lodi took all of the top-10 places to cruise by Tracy's four-member team.
Tommy Lomeli paced the Lodi boys team, taking first place in the boys race and helping the Flames finish with 15 points, beating Tracy's 49. Lomeli won easily, finishing in 16:44, over a minute and a half faster than his teammate and runner-up Brandon Costa (18:22). Garrett Bertsch placed third for the Flames with a time of 18:27.

Tokay sweeps Edison
The Tokay boys swept their race in a 15-44 win to open up Tri-City Athletic League competition on Thursday, taking the first five places and with only a one-minute spread from first to fifth runner.
Sophomore Zack Leffler won the 5K race with a time of 18:07 and was followed closely by Luis Castillo (18:28), Jaime Maturino (18:29), Patrick Johnson (18:46) and Cory Pack (19:02).
Holly Rankin raced to another victory, winning the girls varsity race in a time of 20:31. The Tigers, who lost key runner Samantha Hanchey due to injury and she will be out for the remainder of the season, had to forfeit to Edison because they only had four runners. In the second 5K race of her career, Tokay's Haley Kroll finished second in 20:39.
