Gonzalo Ortiz
Custodian
Gonzalo Santiago Ortiz, 73, of Lodi, died on Sept. 1. He was born on April 14, 1936, in Puerto Rico.
Mr. Ortiz worked as a custodian for the San Francisco Chronicle. He enjoyed working on cars and taking care of his home.
He is survived by his sons, Joe Ortiz, Edward Ortiz and Dwayne Ortiz; step-children, Elizabeth Arroyo and Harry Arroyo; sisters, Lucy Ortiz and Felicita Ortiz; brother, Angelo Ortiz; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Francis Ortiz.
A Memorial Mass will be held today at 1 p.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 215 W. Walnut Street, Lodi. There is no visitation, and committal is private.
Lodi Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements.
