Jason Bartlett
Sport: Baseball
High school: St. Mary's
Professional: Tampa Bay Rays
Bartlett, the starting shortstop, went 5-for-23 with three walks and three runs scored over six games last week. Bartlett, an American League All-Star selection, is hitting .333 for the Rays, who are currently in third place in the American League East standings behind the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox.
David Cooper
Sport: Baseball
High school: Tokay
Professional: New Hampshire Fisher Cats/Double AA Eastern League/Toronto Blue Jays affiliate
Cooper, the starting first baseman/designated hitter who bats in the cleanup spot, went 8-for-28 with two runs scored, a double, a home run, one walk and six RBI over a six-game span last week. Cooper is now batting .260 on the season.
Dea Cook

College: UCLA
Cook, a senior defender for the Lady Bruins, started and went the distance as eighth-ranked UCLA beat 11th-ranked Illinois 2-1 on Friday. On Sunday, Cook spearheaded an effective defense as the Bruins picked up their second shutout win of the year with a 3-0 victory over sixth-ranked Florida in the Illini Challenge Cup. UCLA is 3-1-1 this season.
Brittnee Warmerdam

College: UC Davis
Warmerdam, a senior defender, started and went the distance as Davis (2-0-1) beat Cal State Bakersfield in a non-league matchup on the road, 5-0, on Sunday.
Hallsie Pacheco

High school: Lodi
College: San Jose State
Pacheco, a senior midfielder for the Spartans, started and scored her first collegiate goal as San Jose State lost at home in a non-league match 2-1 to Fairfield on Friday in the Nike Classic hosted by the University of San Francisco. On Sunday, Pacheco started and went the distance in a 2-0 loss to Long Island University. Pacheco was named to the Nike Classic All-Tournament team for the Spartans, who fell to 0-4 this season.
George Duenas

College: Minot State
Duenas' outstanding blocking on the offensive line helped the Beavers roll up 418 yards of total offense as Minot State knocked off Division II Concordia-St. Paul 24-21 in its non-league opener at home on Saturday.
Matt Davis

College: Azusa Pacific
Davis, a sophomore starting wide receiver for the Cougars, caught seven passes for 132 yards in Azusa's 24-12 loss to San Diego on Saturday.
Sal Gutierrez

Gutierrez, a senior linebacker for the Cougars, had two solo and four assisted tackles for a total of six in his team's 24-12 loss to San Diego on Saturday. Gutierrez was also credited with a half-sack, his first of the season.

Shepard, the Bulldogs sophomore long-snapper, was on the field for seven PATs and one punt as Fresno State romped over visiting UC Davis 51-0 on Saturday.
Lisa Ferrero

Professional: DURAMED Futures Tour
Ferrero carded rounds of 74 and 75 for a total of 149 and did not make the final cut in the I Love New York Championships at the Capital Hills Golf Club in Albany, N.Y., in the final Futures Tour event of the season this weekend.
Zach Phillips

Professional: Frisco Rough Riders/Double A Texas League/Texas Rangers affiliate
Phillips, a reliever, appeared in three games last week and picked up one save. He pitched a total of 5.2 innings, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out seven and walking one. Phillips has a 1.60 earned run average this season.
Kortney Agdeppa

College: University of the Pacific
Agdeppa, a freshman defender, scored a goal in Pacific's 3-2 win over Hawaii on Sunday. Agdeppa has started five games for the Lady Tigers, who are currently 3-3 this season.
Note: Statistics for Andrew Walker (Lodi High) and Kevin Lauchland (Lodi High)of Oklahoma Panhandle State University football were incomplete with no box score available. The Aggies lost 54-7 on Saturday.
