One injured, 15-year-old arrested after rear-ending grape harvester on Sunday
A 15-year-old boy was arrested for driving under the influence Sunday night after he rear-ended a grape harvester, injuring one of his passengers, in east Lodi.

The boy was driving a Lincoln Towncar at 8:09 p.m. on Hogan Lane, east of the Highway 99 frontage road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Though the harvester had flashing lights to warn motorists of its slow speed, the teen crashed into the farm vehicle, said CHP Officer Brian Hemenway. The teen then ran from the scene, and officers later found him nearby.
A 16-year-old boy was riding in the front passenger seat, and a medical helicopter was called because he initially appeared to have major injuries.
He was flown to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento with injuries that were not life-threatening, Hemenway said. That teen also appeared to be intoxicated.
The driver of the harvester was not injured, and another passenger in the Lincoln was not injured, Hemenway said.
The 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, hit-and-run, driving without a license and driving without insurance. The CHP did not release his name because he is a minor.
