Tokay 3, Galt 1
The Tigers dropped the first set but rallied for a 14-25, 26-24, 25-18, 25-11 victory over the host Warriors in the preseason opener for both teams.
Nicole Buzo had 20 kills, 17 assists and 13 digs, Tori Nunez had 15 kills, three assists and 12 digs and Arianna Brusa added 16 assists and three digs to lead the Tigers.
Sarah Boron-Trotter had two aces and 21 digs, Brooke Malcolm had one ace, two kills and 18 digs, Enrica Basco two aces, two digs and one kill, Chelsea Merwin recorded three kills and three digs and Allie Perry chipped in with one block, one ace and two digs for the Tigers.
Tokay will take on host Chavez today at 4:30 p.m. in a tourney that pits Lodi Unified School District schools against Stockton Unified School District Schools. Lodi will play Edison at 6 p.m.

The Hawks won a thriller in their first-ever match, topping host El Dorado 29-27, 25-21 in the preseason opener for both teams.

Paige Kininmonth had one kill, one ace and eight digs for the Tigers, who fell to the Warriors in straight sets, 25-8, 25-20.
Tokay's Kacie Ring had three aces and one assist and Jenna Rohde had one ace, one kill, three digs and three assists.

Elliza North-Fauli had six aces and Sophia Anderson served five points for the Tigers in the 27-25, 25-23 victory.
Tokay's Nicole Beardsley was solid at setter and Cheyanne Wagner played outstanding defense.

The Hawks evened the match at 1-all with a victory in the second set but El Dorado took the third and decisive set in a 25-17, 22-25, 15-10 victory in the preseason opener for both teams.

Santiago Prieto scored three goals to help the Tigers win their season opener on Thursday. Felix Sanchez and Alexis Estrada each recorded a goal and an assist in Tokay's win. Ricardo Castillo, Brandon Gonzales, Pedro Perez and Christian Santoyo all scored one goal apiece. Marco Ariaz, a defensive standout in the game, assisted one goal. Christian Saldana also had an assist.
