Lodi police link two teen suspects to gang shootings
Detectives brought in the Lodi SWAT team Friday as they searched for two teenagers they suspect in connection with several recent gang-related shootings.
One 17-year-old suspect was arrested, and another teen was arrested on a probation violation in an alley off the 100 block of North Washington Street. Five other people were detained and released without arrest, said Lodi Police Sgt. Doug Chinn.
The teen was arrested on unrelated warrants, but police will likely seek charges connected to recent shootings, Chinn said.
The other suspect, age 15, is wanted on multiple warrants, including one charging him with escaping from a detention center.
Chinn did not release the names of the suspects, due to privacy laws regarding juveniles.
The police action brought plenty of onlookers to the area just east of Hale Park. The SWAT team arrived shortly before 11 a.m., and police detained six people at the home, including a grandmother and young grandson.
About 10 minutes later, after several orders to leave the house, a shoeless teen boy walked out with his hands up. Chinn said the boy is one of the suspects in the recent shootings.
One of the shootings happened exactly three weeks earlier, when an 18-year-old man was shot at Flora and Garfield streets. He was flown to a Sacramento hospital with chest injuries but is expected to recover, according to police.
Another shooting about a week earlier happened in the 300 block of West Century Boulevard, with a shotgun involved, Chinn said.

And on Wednesday night, a man received a minor injury when a shotgun pellet hit the back of his arm as he ran for cover in the 400 block of East Tokay Street. Police said the suspects had been yelling gang slogans when the man went to see what the commotion was, and then he was shot.
Investigators believe the suspects were out looking for rival gang members and didn't have specific targets.
"They roam the streets looking for people they know to be involved in rival gangs," he said.
Chinn declined to say what specifically led police to the Washington Street home Friday, but said a judge signed off on a search warrant. Detectives called in the SWAT team because firearms had been involved in the crimes, but no guns were ultimately found in the home, Chinn said.
The SWAT team didn't enter the home until 11:35 a.m., after people had walked out of the home. A sergeant had intermittently called through a megaphone, speaking both English and Spanish as he ordered anyone else inside the house to come out.
Officers outside the home had heard a banging noise coming from the attic, but ultimately determined it was not caused by someone hiding, as they had initially thought.
Curious bystanders came and went, including a woman whose granddaughter was among those detained. The girl had waited until her grandmother was asleep and had left home the previous night, the woman said.
Later Friday, detectives conducted probation searches of other people known to associate with the suspects, Chinn said.

They make honest citizens look like criminals and violate our constitutional rights, but won't declare gang memebrs as Domestic Terrorists. Looks like Americans need to do more screaming in the face of a government that ignores us.

FYI A "Peckerwood" is what rural southern US blacks call whites. It sounds racist to me?
I have heard there is a wannabe peckerword gang in East Stockton, and I hope the police arrest them and throw the keys away. Its an insult to their race. The peckerwoods don't have graffiti on every other block like the Nortenos and Scraps do. But I agree, put them down as well. These NaZi Lowriders are morons and get NO SUPPPORT but anyone but themselves.
