Thank you for drawing attention to Baha'i
As a member of the Baha'i Faith living in Lodi, I would like to thank you for drawing Lodi's attention to the religious persecution of the Baha'i's in Iran (Aug. 1). Americans enjoy the right to religious freedom, and it is something we should not take for granted.
I invite my fellow Lodians to join many others from the Central Valley to lend a voice of prayer to those in Iran whose human rights are not being protected.
A public gathering in support of religious freedom and human rights in Iran was held on Aug. 12 at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco. The event was dedicated to seven Iranian Baha'i leaders who have been imprisoned in Tehran for more than a year on false charges stemming from their membership with the country's Baha'i religious minority.
Baha'u'llah the Prophet founder of the Baha'i Faith states that, "The well-being of mankind, its peace and security are unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established."
The Lodi Baha'i community holds non-denominational devotionals on the first Sunday of every month. We welcome all peoples to the devotional to pray for the betterment of the world.

Can the well-being of mankind really be changed by just a religion or prayer?
Truth... seems the only way forward not kidding ourselves.
How do you pray and unite a world which is defined by it's irrational 'fears' and 'phobias' about 'faiths' and it's own hatreds and bias outside faith?
Man has to change his own attitude and learn to love his fellow man; allowing every man the freedom to be different whilst harming no one due to that difference. Every faith believes it has the right way. But the only way must be by Truth, Acceptance and Love.
If man had the ability to do this, then it would surely have been done by now?
