Rep. Jerry McNerney, please see the public

Monday, August 17, 2009 6:08 AM PDT

Now I am considered part of a mob, of which I disagree. I am not a manifesto-carrying maniac as portrayed by the news media. The real manifesto-carrying types work for ACORN.

I want to see the congressman visit the citizens of our 11th Congressional district during his recess. A town hall meeting is in order here. It should not be some controlled phone sideshow. The meeting should be in the Valley for our convenience.

I am a citizen who does not agree with what is going on in our country. This meeting should be well publicized so that all who can make it, will.

I hope that we can show the congressman more respect than some of the clips I have seen on the news. Let him answer our questions and hear our concerns. Geez, I got that out without one swear word.

" Our rep is looking a little scared isn't he? And he should be, but it looks like he's even more frighten of Nancy Pelosi. I mean he's been told that if doesn't want to be persuaded to act on behalf of the people, then don't talk to the people. I don't know, but that strategy will probably not get him re-elected. I do like to watch as the libs scurry about, though -- and it's only getting better. "

" Dogs 4 you: I have loved Mel Brooks [ an absolute film genius]ever since i was but a small child. So much creativity in one person.

To Jeff: Yes Nakanishi is running for the board of equalization and from what I know he is very clean and honest. What a change.

I can't find any positive about Jerry McNeb however, other than I am going to the sacramento airport in the next few days and hopefully he is polishing shoes. [or licking Nancy's boots] "

jeff wrote on Aug 17, 2009 5:47 PM:

" Nakanishi has never been a congressman. He was a member of the California State Assembly. He is a candidate for the State Board of Equalization.

His relationship to Lodi was a little different as an Assmblyman vs. a Congressman. "

" Max, you had to see History of the World Part 1 to know what your talking about, I most certainly did since I saw that movie must be 10 or more time. Mel Brooks does indeed make movies that push the envelope, Blazzing Saddles is another one that has gone on to become a classic. It could never be made today without cleaning up a word that is no longer used, or better not be. Oh BTW, I agree with your post. "

" No question "McNebbish" has been a major disappointment. I think a lot of voters thought he would go and whack away at the Washington establishment. Instead he is swinging at windmills [which he won't identify] and has become a standard puppet faster than most. From the famous Mel Brooks "History of the World, Part 1", Nancy [the Lady] waits while Master McNerney.......baits. What a pitiful collection of bloodsuckers. "

" Before he was turned out of office, I found that Alan Nakanishi was, as a Congressman a man of the people and truly interested with what the people in his district had to say. I attended one of his "meet the folks" talks at Dee Dee`s in Lodi, next to Sandborn Chevrolet. He took time out of his busy schedule to answer questions pertaining directly to the people of Lodi. He is one man that if he runs for another office I will vote for. "

" I just now called the Congressman's Stockton office and was told that although he is in the Valley as I write this, he is not available for public viewing; evidently he's meeting with private groups behind closed doors; this according to the lady answering the phone, one Afshan.

However, McNerney is planning on holding one of those nifty telephone town-hall meetings but the date and time has not yet been determined. According to Afshan it should occur within the next two weeks. How this works is that I should be receiving a call from them giving me the telephone number for the meeting along with a PIN that will give me access to him once the meeting begins.

I wonder, is this telephonic town-hall meeting system something new, or have they used it in the past? If new, could it simply be a way to avoid eye contact with those desiring answers?

I was unable to find out where he is at this moment so I suppose all I can do now is wait for the phone call to be returned letting me know when to dial in for the town-hall meeting. This doesn't instill confidence. "

" The less time explaining a question to McNerney the better, Four words should do it, explain Tax and Cap. He wants to spend hundreds of millions of dollars buinding a new VA hospital in French Camp, I would suggest abanding that idea and issue all vets a Vet Card allowing them to go to the nearest hospital to receive treatment. Even to go so far as using that hospital for all their treatment and by finding a doctor they like. Then bill the Federal Government for services rendered. As little travel as necessary as some vets might not be able to travel great distances for care.

McNerney had the backing of the Democratic Party along with union support and ran a wonderful smear campain against Richard Pombo. He is a puppet with N. Pelosi pulling the strings. Remember on Nov. 2, 2110 vote his azz out of office. "

" Bill Keller: People will still vote for McNerney whether he appears in public or not.

US citizens will compare evil #1 (Republican) vs. evil #2 (Democrat) and they will ask themselves, which one is worse? US citizens are happy if they vote for a lesser evil, but they are still getting an evil.

McNerney will run a smear campaign against his opponent, and voters will listen. "

There is no controversy.

McNerney can investigate on behalf of the veteran, earn votes, without compromising any of the criminal activities in Washington or New York. "

" After Woodbridge, McNerney made an appearance where the US citizens stand in line while his representatives patrol the line.

Before I got to speak with McNerney, one of the representatives overheard my discussion, and he asked, "are you Daniel Hutchins?" "

danielh wrote on Aug 17, 2009 8:08 AM:

" Bill Keller: Not going to happen.

Last time McNerney made a public appearance (which was in Woodbridge), I had a bill in my hand that he had voted on, and I had read it from front to back.

I asked McNerney questions in public, with 150 witnesses, and McNerney was very skilled at lying to me, while at the same time, creating the appearance that he was answering my question.

After I spoke, next person asked a question that was related to mine, but McNerney sensed that the 2nd person was not so well-informed and McNerney spent less time lying to the 2nd person than he did with me. "
