The TEA Party is an inclusive group
The local group who started the TEA Parties has absolutely no affiliation with any political party.
I know this to be true since I am one of the eight founding ladies. We are Tea Party Patriots — a community committed to standing together, shoulder to shoulder, to protect our country and the Constitution upon which we were founded!
The letter by Jack Vander Lans (July 15) has prompted me to explain a few things. In April we threw tea bags into the fountain as a gesture to show our disgust for high taxes and excessive government spending. I recall another group throwing tea into the water in 1773. Do you get the connection?
The Flag Day rally was held to honor our flag and what it stands for. The gentleman with the Republican registration table just showed up, uninvited. I was not happy about it. Since we are inclusive rather than exclusive, we allowed him to stay. It is still a free country.
You state that we are having a hard time getting over the last election. No, but we are having a problem watching this wonderful country of ours go down the road toward socialism. We fear this destructive path will also lead to the USA no longer being a sovereign nation.
I invite you to join us at our next meeting in Lodi on July 27, at 7 p.m. at Parkview Terrace Clubhouse. For those of you who think like us, please join our cause to save this great nation. Come to the next meeting and/or e-mail us at citizensinactions@att.net.

Until he was fired by KFBK, Williams ranted and raved every single night, every hour his show was aired against anyone or anything democrat, left, liberal, etc. If it was not a white republican male, it was evil. My hope is that he now has to make a living speaking at 3rd tier groups like yours and relying on his bass guitar, real estate selling, wife (who looks like she could do a whole lot better without him pulling her down), and guest appearances as a barking dog, growling head, guest commentator on networks like FOX.
Please, just go away and take Williams with you. The voter registration guy can stay. "
