Herman and Elaine Grams celebrate 60 years of marriage
Herman and Elaine Grams celebrated 60 years of marriage last month.
They were married on June 9, 1949, at the Assemblies of God Church in Redwood Falls, Minn.
Herman was a pastor and began his ministry with Elaine in St. Peter, Minn. He also served in Mankato, Minn., Lindsay and Santa Barbara. He also served as presbyter and executive presbyter in the Southern California District of the Assemblies of God until his retirement in 1999. He now teaches the adult Bible class at Century Assembly. Elaine is a homemaker.
The couple enjoys traveling and has been all over the world, both for ministry and for pleasure.
Their children are Jill Holden, of Lodi, Jacki Luehrs, of Buhl, Idaho, Joy Baxter, of Lodi, and Brad Grams, of Fresno; they have 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
They celebrated with a two-day family reunion on May 23 and 24 at their home. The lightlight of the weekend was taking a family picture with 37 of the 39 family members present. Following dinner, the family presented the couple with money for an Alaskan cruise.
