Herman and Elaine Grams celebrated 60 years of marriage last month.

They were married on June 9, 1949, at the Assemblies of God Church in Redwood Falls, Minn.

Herman was a pastor and began his ministry with Elaine in St. Peter, Minn. He also served in Mankato, Minn., Lindsay and Santa Barbara. He also served as presbyter and executive presbyter in the Southern California District of the Assemblies of God until his retirement in 1999. He now teaches the adult Bible class at Century Assembly. Elaine is a homemaker.

The couple enjoys traveling and has been all over the world, both for ministry and for pleasure.

Their children are Jill Holden, of Lodi, Jacki Luehrs, of Buhl, Idaho, Joy Baxter, of Lodi, and Brad Grams, of Fresno; they have 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

They celebrated with a two-day family reunion on May 23 and 24 at their home. The lightlight of the weekend was taking a family picture with 37 of the 39 family members present. Following dinner, the family presented the couple with money for an Alaskan cruise.

" Congratulations to Herman and Elaine Grams from two of their biggest fans, Tom and Donna Moller. He was our pastor in Santa Barbara, and in fact both he and Elaine continue to look as they did when we last saw them. We continue to love and respect Pastor Grams as having the most integrity of anybody we've known in the clergy, and Elaine who is the most kind pastor's wife we've ever known (my wife speaks of her as the "epitome" of a Godly woman.) He was rare then, and unfortunately is rare today, in that he taught verse-by-verse through the Bible. His teaching us in that manner grounded us in the faith with a strength that we still enjoy today many years later. Happy Anniversary and much love from Denver. "
