In the 48 hours after 9 a.m. Friday, the Lodi Police Department handled 433 calls for police and fire service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:
Friday
Grand Theft
9:25 a.m. — Items valued at more than $400 were stolen from inside a vehicle in the 600 block of Candlewood Drive.
Upset at the vet's office
12:18 p.m. — A female was causing a disturbance in the waiting room at San Joaquin Veterinary Clinic, 523 W. Harney Lane. Police mediated a dispute.
Stolen patio furniture
1:17 p.m. — Chairs and a table were stolen off a porch in the 500 block of Yokuts Drive.
Stolen air-conditioner?
1:25 p.m. — Someone was on a roof at Golden Era Hotel, 18 S. Main St., trying to remove a resident's air-conditioning unit by pulling it through the window with a rope. Police didn't find any sign of someone on the roof.
Residential Burglary
1:35 p.m. — A home was burglarized in the 300 block of Forrest Avenue.
Molestation
1:49 p.m. — Child molestation was reported.
Lack of family communication
2:31 p.m. — A woman went to police to see if they could find her mother, whom she hadn't seen in seven to 14 years. She didn't want to file a missing persons report, and officers didn't find the mother's name in their files.
Fake Gold
3:09 p.m. — A man sold gold jewelry to Lodi Jewelry Repair, 728 W. Lodi Ave., but it turned out to be fake.
Lake Fight
6:45 p.m. — About 20 people were fighting near the amphitheater at Lodi Lake, 1301 W. Turner Road. Then someone left on a motorcycle, without a helmet, and drove across the grass.
Domestic Violence
7:14 p.m. — A 23-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence in the 800 block of South Sacramento Street.
'Whooping it up'
7:37 p.m. — People were "whooping it up" and playing loud music in the 300 block of Neplus Court.
Beer Thrower
8:17 p.m. — Someone in a white Ford truck threw a beer, which hit a car at Turner Road and Woodhaven Lane. The truck ran the red light and headed east.
Racial slurs; alcohol involved
8:22 p.m. — A bearded, long-haired man was making racial remarks at residents and an ice cream salesman in the 300 block of East Pine Street. The man, who was possibly homeless, headed east with his open container of alcohol.
Saturday
Not a good date
12:23 a.m. — While on a date, a male and a female got into a physical fight in a vehicle in Lodi.
Vehicle vs. Burger King
12:57 a.m. — After running into Burger King, 230 N. Cherokee Lane, a white van left the scene and was last seen heading east on Lockeford Street.
Bar Fight
1:05 a.m. — A female was bleeding from the face after an altercation with a male at Last Call, 114 N. Sacramento St. Three hours later she went to Lodi Memorial Hospital's emergency room.
Fight
1:17 a.m. — A male and a female got into a physical fight in the 200 block of Lambert Court.
DUI
6:50 a.m. — The drunken male driver of a blue Chevrolet Silverado pulled into Food-4-Less, 2430 W. Kettleman Lane, then parked partially on the sidewalk while taking up two disabled parking spaces. Police arrested someone for driving under the influence.
Dog ownership dispute
7:43 p.m. — A transient woman got into a dispute with someone else regarding ownership of a dog. She was at a pay phone in the 600 block of Victor Road, while the other person was at the "wood chip pile" on Lockeford Street. Both were gone when police arrived.
Fight
8 a.m. — Two males and a female, all possibly homeless, were physically fighting behind Buy-4-Less, 401 W. Lockeford Street. A 52-year-old man was arrested on a warrant.
Battery in a park
12:10 p.m. — Someone was battered the previous night at Century Park, 150 W. Century Blvd.
Uncooperative Shoplifter
12:50 p.m. — A female was fighting with employees, who caught her shoplifting at Salisbury's Market, 2401 W. Turner Road.
Broken Windows
1:01 p.m. — Windows were broken at Lodi Heavy Haul, 230 N. Stockton St.
Damaged Vehicles
1:30 p.m. — Sometime during the night, rocks were thrown at vehicles, breaking two windshields, at J&D Tow, 1011 S. Cherokee Lane.
Young Shoplifter
3:37 p.m. — Security caught a juvenile shoplifting at Big Kmart, 520 S. Cherokee Lane.
Juveniles vs. shopping cart
5:06 p.m. — A juvenile was ripping apart a shopping cart on the corner of Fallbrook Way and Valley Avenue.
Skateboard Fight
5:34 p.m. — Several boys were throwing skateboards at each other in the Skate Park, 1145 S. Ham Lane. One was bleeding from the back of the neck.
Fruit Throwers
7:30 p.m. — Juveniles threw an unspecified kind of fruit at homes near Washington and Watson streets.
DUI
7:47 p.m. — A dark green Ford F-150 was being driven recklessly east on Kettleman Lane at Lower Sacramento Road. Police arrested a 25-year-old man for driving under the influence.
Road Rage
8:57 p.m. — The driver of an eastbound vehicle cut someone off at Eden Street and Cherokee Lane, pulled in front of the victim's car, then backed into his car. The victim chased the vehicle to apartments on Tokay Street near Stockton Street, but then lost sight of the vehicle, which had three people inside.
Sunday
Sex in a truck
12:47 a.m. — People were having sexual relations inside a black truck on Newbury Circle. They left before police arrived.
Drunk
1:55 p.m. — Someone was being drunk and belligerent at Garry's Lounge, 13 S. School St., and ultimately went to the hospital.
Stolen truck and trailer
2:22 a.m. — A dark blue 1993 Toyota pick-up truck was stolen, along with a cargo trailer, sometime in the previous three hours in the 300 block of South Pleasant Avenue.
Domestic Violence
4:12 a.m. — A 27-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence in the 300 block of Acacia Street.
