Laura Singer
Teacher
Laura B. Singer, 92, of Lodi, died May 15. She was born in Hollister on March 22, 1917.
Mrs. Singer worked as an elementary teacher for the Lodi Unified School District at Lincoln School and as a reading specialist at Erma Reese Elementary School for more than 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the United Congregational Christian Church, Omega Nu Sororityand Lodi Woman's Club. She enjoyed travel and reading to children at the Lodi Public Library.
She is survived by her sons, Tom Singer, of Martinez, and Lewis Singer III, of Mountain View; sister, Barbara Gibbs, of Jackson; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis P. Singer.
Private services will be held at a later date in Mountain View.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lodi Public Library.
Donahue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
