The following students graduated from Azusa Pacific University at the spring commencement ceremony on May 9:
Scholarship winners
The San Joaquin chapter of California Women for Agriculture (SCJWA) has awarded scholarships for 2009. Clarissa Castaneda, of Tokay High school and Daniel Rice, of Galt High School have each received $1,000 to continue agricultural majors at California universities and colleges. Rice will attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and Castaneda will attend Fresno State University. Shelby Burnett, Sarah Donald, Jenna Greenmyer and Kristyn McQueen, all of Lodi High School, each received $500 scholarships to attend a community college and major in agriculture. Burnett, Donald and Greenmyer will be attending San Joaquin Delta College, and McQueen will be attending Modesto Junior College.
