Lorraine Vossler
Church organist
Lorraine Marie Vossler, 87, of Elk Grove and formerly of Lodi, died on March 15 at her home. She was born on May 18, 1921, in North Dakota.
Mrs. Vossler moved with her family to Lodi at a young age. She attended Lodi schools and graduated from Lodi Union High School in 1939. She had lived in Elk Grove for many years, and was a member of the United Congregational Church of Elk Grovem and a past member of Ebenezer Congregational Church of Lodi. She served as the church organist at both churches. She was a sports fan who enjoyed watching football, baseball and basketball. She also traveled by RV extensively with her late husband.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Hutchinson, of Angels Camp; sons, Jim Vossler, of Colusa, Ron Vossler, of Susanville, and Ken Vossler, of Elk Grove; sister, Alice Schroeder, of Pacific Grove; brother, Ken Flaig, of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Donahue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
