" The news sentinel has made many errors and it is a shame. When a family is divided, it makes it look as if we are being nasty when in fact it was stupid mistakes on the papers part.I will deal with them when this is over. I have to beleive that my Dad would have been ok with his family members having a memorial for closure.Despite the last years of conflict, we all loved Dad and are trying to get through this the best we can. It doesn't help for there to be judgment on anyones part.We all respect everyones decision to attend or not to attend. For me, it will feel incomplete for one person not to be there, but once again I completely respect that choice. By the way, my sons name is Brannon, not Brandon. "

" Gary was probably one of the happiest full of life men you would have ever have met. Gary was always asking about the people in your lives saying "Hey Babe, how are ya?" Hows your mom? Bless your heart Is that so? Just to name a few of the most common Gary quotes. Gary was the kindest, heartfelt, sympathetic, energetic and generous man. We should all be so lucky to have known him and had him in our lives. Gary defiantly voiced his opinions, showed his emotions and shared his thoughts with all and for this reason, my family and I will not be in attendance at the memorial. While this is a nice gesture for those who feel the need to have this, it is not what Gary expressed as his wishes so we will personally honor his final wishes by not attending. Out of respect for you Mr. Lewis...I will say, you will be greatly missed, you are loved and see you in heaven my friend. "
