Lodi's new football team to meet, greet fans
Two days before they make their Lodi debut, the Central Valley Rams, Lodi's new semipro football team, is holding a meet and greet session to introduce the team to the community.
The session will be held on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Lodi Beer Company's banquet room. Ram head coach and owner Louis Byrd said he hopes people will come out and get to know the new Lodi organization, which previously played in Stockton.

On Saturday, March 14, the Rams will take the field at 6 p.m. at the Grape Bowl for the very first time to face the Central Coast Barnstormers in their Northern California Football League season opener.
Central Valley will play a 10-game season in the 16-team NCFL, which is modeled after the NFL. Five of the games will be held at the Grape Bowl and season passes for all of the home games are $20. Individual game tickets are $7 and kids 5 and under are free.
