Democratic presidents weaken our country
Unlike Michelle Mamini, I was not so proud. I have lowered and taken down my flag.
She is happy that she voted for her children, my children and our country. She, like all liberals, are calling for peace, give Obama a chance — if he makes mistakes, that's OK because he will learn from them, and please support him. Let me remind you that from the moment President Bush took office, you called him names and never let up. Then came Sarah Palin; you called her names, said she was unqualified, attacked her family and then you attacked her baby with Down syndrome. Obama said attack me but not my family, yet you set the example. Martin Luther King Jr. said judge a man not by his color but rather by his character. Well, you voted for a man based on his color and not qualifications. His character is clear: His friends and appointees are under federal investigation for all kinds of corruption. It's OK for them to make mistakes, be sloppy, or have hiccups, but not the Republicans. They are crucified by the media and those in power and then their careers are assassinated.
Why are Democrats above the law? Clinton never protected us. He was more interested in himself, he lied under oath, he and Janet Reno burned alive women and children at Waco, Texas, then sent in the FBI to take a young Cuban boy away from his uncle at gunpoint in Florida. Now Obama will close Gitmo and give the terrorists a fair and legal trial with the taxpayer paying the bill. He wants them to have the Geneva Convention application of process. Did they give Nick Burg the same when they cut off his head?
Now Pelosi and Reed are seeking to take away our first amendment — freedom of speech — with the so-called "fairness doctrine." They want to impose this doctrine that destroys talk radio and silences the voices of millions of Americans who disagree with their vision of America.
All you liberals did was weaken our country. Every Democratic president has weakened our country, weakened our defenses, and Obama will do the same. What's next, take away our guns?
We will give Obama the same respect liberals gave president Bush. We stand divided.

You're making yourself quite clear that you don't like our military and it's overall humanitarian cause. The 26 million Iraqis who have been liberated from Saddam nay not be the right people for you to make such bold statements to. "

WHY ARE WE APOLOGIZING???? "
Brian wrote on Feb 9, 2009 6:32 PM:
The two Balkan interventions -- as well as the failed 1992-93 Somali intervention to feed starving African Muslims (43 Americans were killed) -- were humanitarian exercises of the highest order, there being no significant U.S. strategic interest at stake. In these 20 years, this nation has done more for suffering and oppressed Muslims than any nation, Muslim or non-Muslim, anywhere on earth. Why are we apologizing?
And what of that happy U.S.-Muslim relationship that Obama imagines existed "as recently as 20 or 30 years ago" that he has now come to restore? Thirty years ago, 1979, saw the greatest U.S.-Muslim rupture in our 233-year history: Iran's radical Islamic revolution, the seizure of the U.S. embassy, the 14 months of America held hostage. "
Brian wrote on Feb 9, 2009 6:30 PM:
Is it "new" to acknowledge Muslim interests and show respect to the Muslim world? Obama doesn't just think so, he said so again to millions in his al-Arabiya interview, insisting on the need to "restore" the "same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago."
Astonishing. In these most recent 20 years -- the alleged winter of our disrespect of the Islamic world -- America did not just respect Muslims, it bled for them. It engaged in five military campaigns, every one of which involved -- and resulted in -- the liberation of a Muslim people: Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq. "

The Change that so many of you voted for is a far cry from the Change that is coming. Obama lied to all of you, and it won't be long before you all come to realize this. He has only been in office for two weeks, and already those whom were fooled but kept their ability to think for themselves are finally jumping off of the band wagon.
He promised to have zero lobyists in his administration. That lasted one day. Yesterday, he appointed the CEO of G.E. to his economic advisors group. You have got to be kidding. G.E. makes everything, from kitchen gadgets to jet engines. Health care, "green energy", and they own NBC and all of its siblings. So not only does he have the president's ear about financial decisions (he stands to suck Billions if not Trillions from our wallets) he can decide what most of you watch on your televisions as so called "news". I voted Bush jr... both terms. Personally... my take... I think he got caught up in bringing Democracy to the world and took his eye off of us... and gave too much power to Cheney and Rumsfield. He should have listened to Powell.
Our current president is not a god, but a mere man. I am watching him and I hope, for the sake of our country, he does well. For the next 4 years he is my president... and yours.
Bankergirl, hopefully in high school you will get a class that actually discusses politics rather than resorts to music videos (sad). Best wishes. "

Im sorry, Im not here to disrespect anyone or their views, but Obama is a JOKE...J-O-K-E, just in case I didn't make it clear enough! This man is being WORSHIPED, he is being made out to be some kind of GOD, all because he is the first black man to be nominated and elected President. Do you think he would be where he is today if it wasn't for his buddy Oprah? COME ON! The MEDIA manipulated all of you. The only person(s) you all should be mad at is the media. The only thing this guy did in the US Senate was pass a law to allow Tax Payers to see where their money is being spent. So that makes him our new GOD? He is FULL of broken promises, just like every other politician.
Jose Esparza is no lunatic, you all need to step back and see the bigger Picture! "

As society becomes wealthy, it becomes more decadent.
Interesting.
So, by impoverishing millions of Americans, was President Bush really make them more moral? "

Of course it doesn't mean a thing to the likes of Snivelius that this President is, for the first time in years, trying to govern in a bi partisan manner. The fact that he is actually appointing cabinet heads from the other party, no, that doesn't mean anything either.
The fact is that Snivelius and his ilk are programmed to hate anyone with a "D" behind their name and to bend over for anyone with an "R" after their name. These individuals care only for their Party and not a wit for their country. "

Chuckle....
This from a man (to use the term in only the most literal sense) who is so afraid of his own shadow that he has to change his moniker at the drop of a hat. "

He never said anything about violence- yet it is a liberal that at the very least infers that when someone objects to something that they disagree with, a bomb or other violent act must be forthcoming. Paranoia isn't a very flattering characteristic, Lodian, but you wear it quite well. If by taking down his United States flag he is exercising his right of expression, then I would think all of us would be applauding him- not vilifying him or assuming him to be a lunatic ready to destroy people. Personally, I won't take my flag down for anything or anyone. But that's just me.
It's always entertaining to read or hear how the far-left loons react to differing viewpoints. They don't do it very well at all. "

Still, why close down a place that treats these scum-bags with more respect and decency than they deserve? The only thing I can complain about is that it is taking too much time to try them where they are; what, their trials will be expedited simply because they'll be among us? It's time to close down Gitmo - absolutely! But not until we legally dispose of the occupants through military tribunals in Cuba. "

Well, Mr. President, that train left the station with Geithner. But just as you did with your precious Reverend Wright, there are those who will still be tossed under the bus for political expediency. Talk about hypocrisy. But then what are people now saying about Obama's actions? Oh, that at least when he makes mistakes, he's man enough to admit it. No, when he's caught with his drawers down, he pretends to have some grit.
But what about poor Tom Daschle? Why is he not afforded the same pass as Geithner? I thought both of these men were the only ones to save us. This administration has gotten off to a terrible start, and very few people (and especially the media) are holding him accountable. Bush never got that consideration.
Forget about 3:00 a.m., this President doesn't have a clue during the light of day. "

Leonard wrote on Feb 4, 2009 7:36 AM:
After 9/11, George W. Bush enjoyed the greatest bi partisan support any American President had known. For a moment, the people of America stood united behind one man.
Bush, however, had come to power on the politics of division and he evidently was incapable of leaving those politics behind. He and Karl Rove knew that they only needed 50.0001% of the vote to win reelection and they were only going to govern this country for those 50.0001%, the other 49.9999% be damned!
Of course, that worked pretty well for him in the short term but, ultimately, when the bodies began to pile up and the economy slowly slid towards disaster, Bush was left with nothing but the 20% or so of Americans who formed his base.
The result is that he is one of the most hated and reviled Presidents in US History. Partisan hacks like Mr Esparza can try to blame that on the liberals but, when 72% of Americans say they don't approve of you, that means there's an awful lot of Republicans casting stones as well. "
