Henry Haas
Mechanic at Sanborn's
Henry "Hank" Haas, 88, of Lodi, died Jan. 8. He was born in New Leipzig, N.D., on Dec. 21, 1920.
On Feb. 16, 1947, he married Eleanore Kranich in Elgin, N.D. They moved to Lodi in 1964.
He was a mechanic at Sanborn's for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and playing cards. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 22.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanore Haas; brothers, Harry Haas, of Montana, Clifford Haas, of South Dakota, and Albert Haas, of Montana; and sisters, Bertha Kibbel, of North Dakota, Clara Milner, of New Jersey, and Lorraine Klien, of Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, infant Ida Haas, Genevieve Hoff and Anna Peterson; and brothers, Alvin Haas and Adolph Haas.
A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Committal will immediately follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lodi Funeral Home.
