Donald Finch
Mail carrier
Donald E. Finch, 77, of Lodi, died Dec. 28, 2008. He was born on June 14, 1931, in Sacramento.
Mr. Finch grew up and attended schools in Sacramento. He moved to Concord in 1959 and to Lodi in 1970. He worked as a real estate and insurance agent prior to becoming a mail carrier in Acampo. He also served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1952 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Alcoholics Anonymous. In his retirement, he enjoyed camping and hunting.
He is survived by his daughters, Carrie Trevena, of Lodi, and Pam DeVolder, of Berlin; sons, Donald Thomas Finch and Louis Finch, both of Lodi; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Finch.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Rocha's Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
