Unfortunate experience turns out well
I had the unfortunate experience of having to call 911 on Dec. 24 due to high blood sugar. I am diabetic and I have also worn a pacemaker for over 25 years.
The paramedics and ambulance arrived, and in taking my blood pressure, they found it to be extremely high — over 210/100. So, off to Lodi Emergency I went. I was met with a very competent staff and doctor and was taken care of — my situation corrected.
When it came time to be discharged, I realized that I didn't have any shoes on. The hospital called a taxi for me and a very nice gentleman came and took me home. I live several blocks away from Lodi Memorial. The gentleman walked and helped me so I wouldn't fall. He delivered me to my apartment door and when I went to pay him, he said "Merry Christmas" to me and walked away to help three other customers who needed a cab.
I was so shocked at his reply and kindness that I wanted to write to you to tell you that I believe there are so many kind and generous people on this Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and that I wanted Keith to receive recognition for what he did for me.
