Nicholas Kosta
Outdoorsman
Nicholas Kosta, 46, of Mountain Ranch and formerly of Lodi, died Dec. 17. He was born on Oct. 20, 1962, in Stockton.
Mr. Kosta was the youngest of five siblings. He grew up in Lodi and attended local schools. He was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of eight and enjoyed raising money to help the diabetes association throughout his life. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and caring for animals.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura Fleming, of Berkeley; parents, Tom and Eloise Kosta, of Lodi; brothers, Tom Kosta Jr., of Mountain Ranch, and John Kosta, of Acampo; and sister, Karan Miner, of Lodi.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Gregory Steven Kosta.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 E. Industrial Way, Lodi.
