Rape reported at party

Lodi police officers said they are investigating a report of a woman being raped at a party Saturday night in the area of Winding Oak Drive and Autumn Way in south Lodi.

The woman woke up and found a male on top of her, police said. She was taken to Kaiser Hospital in south Sacramento and transferred to UC Davis Medical Center for a sexual assault exam, police said.

New Cosumnes board members to be sworn in

Galt resident Guy Rutter and Michelle Orrock of Elk Grove will be sworn in for the first time as members of the Cosumnes Community Services District board of directors on Wednesday.

Rutter, Orrock and incumbent Gil Albiani were elected to the five-member board. The district provides fire service to Galt and Elk Grove. In Elk Grove only, the district operates 80 parks, two community centers, two swim complexes, four recreation centers, a skate park, golf course and 18 miles of trails.

Rutter, a commercial beekeeper, was chief of the former Sloughhouse Fire Protection District for 28 years, and was chairman of the former Galt Fire Protection District board when the district merged with the Elk Grove Community Services District in 2006. The merged district was renamed Cosumnes.

Wednesday's board meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the district office, 8820 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove.

Free trolley rides in Stockton

San Joaquin Regional Transit District will offer free rides in different parts of Stockton beginning today and continuing through Jan. 2.

The "Holly Trolleys," decorated with holiday themes and playing holiday music, will be available on four routes:

  • Main bus transfer hub bordered by Weber Avenue and California, Channel and Sutter streets, Eastland Plaza, ACE station and Steamboat Landing every 20 minutes from 7:44 a.m. to 5:14 p.m. weekdays.

  • Transfer hub, Filbert Street, Weber Avenue, Children's Museum every 20 minutes on weekdays from 6:27 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

  • San Joaquin Delta College, various malls and surrounding shopping areas every 12 minutes on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

  • University of the Pacific, Miracle Mile, Hippo Lounge, Cineplex and Stockton Arena every 20 minutes from 6 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays.
